3 min readThe AWS Certified SysOps Administrator โ Associate (SOA-C02) is an AWS certification that validates your ability to deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS. Offered by Amazon Web Services, it is one of the most recognized associate-level credentials in cloud computing, demonstrating hands-on expertise with AWS services used in day-to-day operations.
This certification is ideal for systems administrators, cloud operations engineers, and DevOps practitioners with at least one year of hands-on experience managing and deploying AWS workloads. Candidates should be comfortable with AWS management console, CLI, and SDKs, and should understand core infrastructure concepts including compute, networking, storage, and databases.
The SOA-C02 exam consists of 65 questions (multiple choice and multiple response) with a 130-minute time limit. The passing score is 720 out of 1000. The exam also includes an optional exam lab component where you may be asked to complete hands-on tasks in an AWS environment. Questions span six domains: Monitoring/Logging/Remediation, Deployment/Provisioning/Automation, Reliability/Business Continuity, Security/Compliance, Networking/Content Delivery, and Cost/Performance Optimization.
Practice exams are critical preparation for SOA-C02 because many questions present real-world operational scenarios that require you to choose the best solution from several plausible options. Simply reading documentation is not enough โ you need to develop the pattern recognition that comes from repeatedly working through scenario-based questions under timed conditions.
These practice sets cover all six exam domains with realistic scenario-based questions and detailed explanations for every answer. The first set is completely free, so you can assess your readiness before committing to a full study plan.
