2 min readThe AWS Certified Developer Associate (DVA-C02) is a globally recognised certification that validates your ability to develop, deploy, and debug cloud-based applications using Amazon Web Services. The exam consists of 65 questions in multiple-choice and multiple-response formats, has a time limit of 130 minutes, and requires a passing score of 720 out of 1000 on AWS's scaled scoring model.
This certification is designed for developers who have at least one year of practical experience developing and maintaining applications on AWS. Candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in writing code that interacts with AWS services using the AWS SDK, and to understand how to build serverless and event-driven architectures on the platform.
The DVA-C02 tests knowledge across a broad set of AWS developer-focused services. Core areas include AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, Cognito, IAM, AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline. Candidates are also expected to understand how to use the AWS SDK and CLI, manage environment configurations, handle errors and retries, and implement secure authentication and authorisation patterns.
Practice questions are a critical part of preparing for the DVA-C02. The exam frequently uses scenario-based questions that require you to identify the most appropriate service or configuration for a given situation. Working through practice questions helps you become familiar with these scenarios, exposes common distractor patterns used in AWS exams, and reinforces the depth of knowledge required to answer confidently under time pressure.
Our DVA-C02 practice sets are written to reflect the format and difficulty of the real exam. Each question includes a thorough explanation covering both the correct answer and why the alternatives are unsuitable. Whether you are new to AWS development or a seasoned engineer seeking formal recognition of your skills, targeted practice is the most reliable way to improve your readiness for the exam.
