The CompTIA Network+ (N10-009) is a globally recognised vendor-neutral certification that validates the foundational networking skills required to configure, manage, and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks. Offered by CompTIA, it is widely considered the industry standard entry-level certification for network professionals and is recognised by employers across government, enterprise, and managed service provider sectors. The N10-009 version, released in June 2024, reflects the latest developments in modern networking including cloud technologies, SD-WAN, VxLAN, and infrastructure as code.

Network+ is designed for IT professionals who have CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience, along with nine to twelve months of hands-on experience in a junior networking or IT support role. It is suitable for job titles including network administrator, network support technician, systems administrator, and IT specialist. The certification also serves as a strong foundation before pursuing more advanced credentials such as Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Security+.

The N10-009 exam consists of a maximum of 90 questions, including multiple-choice and performance-based questions, with a 90-minute time limit. Candidates must achieve a passing score of 720 on a scale of 100 to 900. The exam covers five domains: Networking Concepts (23%), Network Implementation (20%), Network Operations (19%), Network Security (14%), and Network Troubleshooting (24%). It is delivered through Pearson VUE and can be taken online or at an authorised testing centre.

Preparing with practice questions is one of the most effective strategies for passing the Network+ exam. The certification covers a broad range of topics, from IP subnetting and routing protocols to wireless security and troubleshooting methodologies. Working through realistic exam-style questions helps you identify knowledge gaps, build familiarity with the question format, and reinforce your understanding of core networking concepts before sitting the real exam.

Our Network+ practice question sets mirror the difficulty and topic distribution of the actual N10-009 exam. Each question includes a detailed explanation of why the correct answer is right and why the incorrect options are wrong, helping you learn from every mistake. The first question set is completely free, giving you a risk-free way to assess your readiness before deciding to purchase the full set.
